What are slow replies costing you?
Most businesses do not have a lead problem. They have a reply problem. Put in four numbers you already know and see what the wait is costing you.

What are slow replies costing you?
Four figures you already know. The result is your arithmetic, not our claim.
How this is worked out: we assume 60% of enquiries were winnable, and that the share lost to a slow reply is 4% under five minutes, 28% within thirty, 42% within an hour and 60% same or next day. Those figures are our own calibration, not a published study, so change the inputs to match what you actually see. The research behind them is real: MIT and InsideSales, published by Harvard Business Review across more than 15,000 leads, found 78% of buyers go with whoever replies first. These are planning estimates, not a forecast or a guarantee.
What closes the gap
Four things that answer for you
None of these get you more enquiries. They stop you losing the ones you already have.
Missed-call text-back
A missed call sends an instant text, so the person who could not reach you is still in a conversation rather than dialling the next firm.
AI receptionist
Calls answered out of hours and while you are on a job, with the details taken and passed to you.
Automated follow-up
Quotes and enquiries chased more than once, by text, email and WhatsApp, without anyone remembering to do it.
Database reactivation
The enquiries you already lost this way, worked again from the records you still hold.
Questions about this calculator
Where do the percentages come from?
The 60% winnable share and the four loss rates are our own calibration, not a published study, and the page says so. They are shaped by the speed-to-lead research from MIT and InsideSales published by Harvard Business Review, which found 78% of buyers go with whoever replies first. Change the inputs to match what you actually see in your own business.
What counts as an enquiry?
Anything from someone who might buy: a phone call, a form, a WhatsApp message, a Google Business Profile message. Not newsletter sign-ups or supplier calls.
We reply quickly during the day. Does that count?
Only if you reply quickly all the time. Most of the loss happens in the evenings, at weekends and while you are already on a job. Answer with your honest average rather than your best day, or the number will flatter you.
Is this not just an argument for buying more leads?
No, the opposite. This is about the enquiries you already paid for and already received. Nothing on this page asks you to increase your advertising.
What happens after I book the audit?
We look at how enquiries reach you now, how fast they get answered, and what happens to the ones that go quiet. You get the findings whether or not you work with us afterwards.
See where yours are going
The audit looks at how enquiries reach you, how fast they are answered, and what happens to the ones that go quiet. You keep the findings either way.
